What a year

Hi loves,

Since today is the last day of 2016, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to look back on the past year and share with you my most memorable moments.

I know 2016 has been a very rough year for the whole world and some very sad things have happened. But we must remember that not the whole year has been bad, some amazing things have happened I think those are the moments we have to cherish. So that's exactly what I'm gonna do now, look back on what I think are the best moments of 2016 for me, I hope you like it.

1. Trip to London

Me and my boyfriend went to London for a few days during summer break and it was just perfect. We had booked it quite early so the excitement grew over the months. I had already been to London with school, but the second time there was just so much more fun. We had plenty of time so we didn't have to rush anything at all. We ofcourse did the main touristy things but also just wandered around Hyde Park and stuff. This was our first trip together and it was an absolute succes, so we are definitely going back there! (London secretely is my fave city). Because we live in Belgium, we could just take the Eurostar and be in London in no time. We did have to get up quite early so we were very exhausted when we got there but that didn't stop us from visiting a lot of stuff on the first day.

2. Paris

As a present, my boyfriend gave me a night in a very nice hotel in Paris (I'm very lucky). Because we only were there for two days, we just did two big city walks that crossed all of the most important buildings and monuments. We were also very lucky with the weather because we went the 31st October and sun was shining very bright, we could literaly just walk around in a shirt and still be too hot. Fun fact, when we were walking to the Louvre, we saw a field full of dogs. You could just sit there and they would come to you, amazing!

3. My graduation

I know it isn't such a big deal to graduate from high school, but for me that just meant the beginning of a whole new chapter. Graduation itself was quite boring, but the feeling I got when my name was called and  could go up and my diploma, I just couldn't be more proud of myself.

4. Starting in college

When I was in high school, I never would've believed that I could actually enjoy going to school. I am so happy with the choices I made regarding my studies. I study in Ghent and I just love living in a dorm. The independence you have is just amazing.

That was it, there were a lot more amazing moments this year, but these are the best ones, and I'm sure 2017 is going to bring just as amazing moments. I hope you all have had an awesome 2016! Be sure to let me know what you're favourite memory of 2016 is.

Happy 2017 you all!
xoxo,
Cato

Remember me?

Hey guys!

Remember me? Probably not since I stopped writing my blog about a year ago. I don't really know why I did that, because it's not like I hate having a blog, I actually really love it. Well, I guess we'll never know.
The good thing is, I'm back!!! I have no idea what I will be writing about but will do my very best to entertain you and to make you forget your everyday struggles. I was actually thinking about posting a short story once in a while. I really enjoy writing and should write more so I think I'm gonna post one story every month or so. If at least that would be something you guys would enjoy. Let me know if you would like me to do so.

Let me give you a little update on my life now.
I am currently in College, crazy right? I gratuated high school and it was the best thing ever. Just standing there and realising you never have to see those fake bitches again for the rest of your glorious life. I am currently in my first year of Social Work at the University College of Ghent. If you ever come to visit Belgium (which is very unlikeley, I know) you should definitely come to Ghent! I just love everything about this city! Everybody always asks my why Ghent and not just a city closer to home. Well, I chose for Ghent because I think it's a very beautiful city (and because my boyfriend also studies here but shhhhh).
Everything is actually going pretty well, I am absolutely sure that I made the right decision choosing Social Work as my education. When I first started I was worried that it wasn't gonna be the way I thought it would be, but turned out just perfect. There is one slight 'negative' side. Because Ghent isn't very close to home, I'm staying at a dorm troughout the week. The thing is, I got really unlucky with the people who are in my hallway. But I guess that's just something that I have to accept, because living in a dorm is actually a lot of fun. Don't get me wrong, I still love it when I go home, but I just really like the freedom you have when you live in a dorm, you don't have to constantly ask if it's okay if you go meet some friends, you don't have to be home by a certain hour, ...
Anyway, I'm doing pretty great and I really hope you do too, and if you don't, don't worry, you will!

This post was actually kind of a 'hey guess who's back' post, so yeah, you'll be hearing from me and this time it won't be a year later!

xoxo,
Cato

P.S.: don't forget to let me know in the comments if you would like me to post short stories
